Checking the level
1. Raise the vehicle.
2. Place the car body horizontally.
3. Inspect the front axle. Check for oil leaks. Repair leaks if necessary.
4. Clean the surfaces around the drain and filler plugs.
5. Unscrew the filler plug.
6. Make a dipstick in the shape of the letter "G" from wire to measure the oil level. The length of the dipstick legs should be more than 40 mm.
7. Insert the dipstick into the filler plug hole. One leg of the dipstick should be pressed against the edge of the hole, the other should stand vertically.
8. Remove the dipstick and measure the distance from the dipstick bend to the oil level. Normally, the oil level should be 0-8 mm from the hole edge.

9. Add oil if necessary.
10. Install and tighten the filler plug. Tightening torque 33 Nm.
Oil change
1. Raise the vehicle.
2. Place the car body horizontally.
3. If installed, remove the gearbox guard.
4. Check the front axle for oil leaks. Make the necessary repairs if necessary.
5. Clean the gearbox housing surface around the drain plug and level plug.
6. Unscrew the filler plug.
7. Place a container under the gearbox housing to collect the oil.
8. Unscrew the drain plug and drain the oil.

9. Install and tighten the drain plug, preferably replacing the sealing washer. Tightening torque 33 Nm.
10. Fill the oil to the recommended level for this gearbox. Filling volume:
- with 8.25 inch gearbox - 1.4 l
- with 9.25 inch gearbox - 1.7 l
Recommended transmission oil:
- according to SAE — 75W-90
- according to GM specification - 9986115
11. Install and tighten the level plug, it is advisable to replace the sealing washer. Tightening torque 33 Nm.
12. If removed, install the gearbox housing guard.
13. Lower the vehicle.
