Removal
Caution: Do not move the vehicle with the drive shaft removed, as the wheel may fall off and cause the vehicle to fall.
1. Raise the vehicle.
2. Remove the wheel. On 2500 series vehicles, remove the drive shaft mounting nut cap.

3. Insert a large screwdriver through the brake caliper into one of the brake disc ventilation windows - this will ensure that the drive shaft does not turn.

4. Unscrew the nut (1) and remove the washer (2).

Warning: Do not reuse the drive shaft mounting nut, use only a NEW nut of ORIGINAL design. Tightening torque 240 Nm.
5. Using a puller, press the drive shaft out of the wheel hub.

6. Remove the puller.
7. Loosen the inner CV joint housing mounting bolts. Tightening torque 79 Nm.

8. Remove the drive shaft fixing screwdriver from the brake disc.
9. If necessary, disconnect the anti-roll bar from the suspension arm.
10. (GMT 900, 1500 series) If necessary, remove the suspension strut.
11. Remove the drive shaft.

Installation
12. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
