Removal
To remove the fuel tank, perform the following steps:
- perform a pressure reduction operation in the fuel system. To do this, let the engine run for 10 seconds with the fuel pump disconnected. To disconnect the fuel pump, remove the fuse;
- disconnect the negative battery cable
- drain the fuel from the tank;
- remove the parking brake cable fasteners and the support running along the tank;
- remove the filler neck (see figure T250 3.072);
- disconnect the fuel vapor recovery system tubes (see figure T250 3.073);
- disconnect the fuel pump connector;
- disconnect the fuel inlet line;
- support the tank with a suitable support and loosen the tank mounting screws.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
