Removal



To remove the fuel tank, perform the following steps:
  • perform a pressure reduction operation in the fuel system. To do this, let the engine run for 10 seconds with the fuel pump disconnected. To disconnect the fuel pump, remove the fuse;
  • disconnect the negative battery cable
  • drain the fuel from the tank;
  • remove the parking brake cable fasteners and the support running along the tank;

  • remove the filler neck (see figure T250 3.072);

  • disconnect the fuel vapor recovery system tubes (see figure T250 3.073);

  • disconnect the fuel pump connector;
  • disconnect the fuel inlet line;
  • support the tank with a suitable support and loosen the tank mounting screws.

Installation



Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
