Fuel injectors — removal and installation (Chevrolet Aveo T250)

Removal



To remove the fuel injectors, perform the following steps:
  • perform a pressure reduction operation in the fuel system. To do this, let the engine run for 10 seconds with the fuel pump disconnected. To disconnect the fuel pump, remove the fuse;
  • disconnect the negative battery cable;
  • unscrew the fastening screws and remove the decorative engine cover;
  • unscrew the throttle position sensor connector;
  • unscrew the idle air valve connector;
  • unscrew the intake air temperature sensor connector;
  • unscrew the camshaft position sensor connector;
  • unscrew the intake manifold pressure sensor connector;
  • unscrew the fuel injector connector;
  • remove the purge valve hose of the adsorber;
  • remove the intake manifold pressure sensor hose;
  • unscrew the mounting screws and remove the intake manifold bracket;
  • disconnect the fuel supply hose from the fuel rail;
  • disconnect the coolant hose from the throttle body;
  • unscrew the mounting screws and remove the fuel rail together with the injectors;
  • remove the injector mounting clamps;
  • remove fuel injectors;

remove fuel injectors;

  • remove the injector sealing rings.





Installation



Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Note on installing injector sealing rings



Before installing the injectors into the fuel manifold, the sealing rings must be lubricated with gasoline.

Tightening torques
