Removal
To remove the oil pump, follow these instructions:
- disconnect the negative battery cable:
- remove the power steering pump;
- remove the timing belt;
- remove the rear timing belt cover;
- disconnect the oil pressure sensor connector;
- unscrew the mounting screws and remove the crankshaft position sensor (CPS);
- remove the oil pan;
- unscrew the support bracket mounting screws and remove the oil pump inlet pipe;
- unscrew the oil pump mounting screws (shown in the figure by arrows);
- remove the front oil pump cover and gasket from the cylinder block;
- remove the oil pump gears;
- remove the pressure reducing valve;
- remove the rear cover of the oil pump.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Tightening torques
