Oil pump — removal and installation (Chevrolet Aveo T250)

Removal



To remove the oil pump, follow these instructions:
  • disconnect the negative battery cable:
  • remove the power steering pump;
  • remove the timing belt;
  • remove the rear timing belt cover;
  • disconnect the oil pressure sensor connector;
  • unscrew the mounting screws and remove the crankshaft position sensor (CPS);
  • remove the oil pan;
  • unscrew the support bracket mounting screws and remove the oil pump inlet pipe;

unscrew the support bracket mounting screws and remove the oil pump inlet pipe;

  • unscrew the oil pump mounting screws (shown in the figure by arrows);

unscrew the oil pump mounting screws (shown in the figure by arrows);

  • remove the front oil pump cover and gasket from the cylinder block;
  • remove the oil pump gears;
  • remove the pressure reducing valve;
  • remove the rear cover of the oil pump.




Installation



Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Tightening torques

Screw for fixing the support bracket of the receiving tube10 Nm
