Removal
1. Remove the drive shaft.
2. Remove the large cover clamp.
3. Remove the small clamp of the cover.
4. Remove grease from the joint.
5. Remove the cover from the hinge housing.
Caution: Do not disassemble the outer CV joint. The parts are tightly fitted and cannot be serviced separately. Improper reassembly can not only shorten the service life of the unit, but also lead to very dangerous consequences.
Installation
1. Install the boot onto the drive shaft.
2. Fill the hinge boot with 110-130 g of recommended grease. Fill the hinge with 110-130 g of recommended grease.
3. Install new clamps.
4. Secure the new clamps using the boot clamp tightener.
5. Remove the drive shaft.
