Removal a manual gearbox (Chevrolet Aveo T250)

Removal



1. Install the engine support device.

2. Remove the battery and battery tray.

3. Remove the gearbox control lever mechanism.

3. Remove the gearbox control lever mechanism.


4. Remove the drive shaft.

5. Disconnect the electrical connector of the reverse code light switch.

6. Disconnect the speedometer speed sensor electrical connector.

6. Disconnect the speedometer speed sensor electrical connector.


7. Remove the clutch slave cylinder.

7. Remove the clutch slave cylinder.


8. Unscrew the three bolts securing the rear powertrain support bracket.



8. Unscrew the three bolts securing the rear powertrain support bracket.


9. Remove the rear mounting bracket from the transmission.

10. Remove the rear damper block from the front beam.

10. Remove the rear damper block from the front beam.


11. Remove the two bolts securing the rear gearbox support.

12. Remove the three upper transmission mounting bracket bolts.

12. Remove the three upper transmission mounting bracket bolts.


13. Remove the upper mounting bracket and drive shaft intermediate support.



14. Remove the three upper gearbox mounting bolts while supporting the gearbox with a jack.

14. Remove the three upper gearbox mounting bolts while supporting the gearbox with a jack.


15. Remove the seven lower gearbox mounting bolts.

15. Remove the seven lower gearbox mounting bolts.


16. Remove the gearbox.

Note: Place the gearbox in a vertical position only.


17. Move the gearbox away from the engine block.

18. Lower the gearbox.
