Removal
1. Remove the rod clamp clamp.
2. Release the universal joint clamp.
3. Separate the cardan joint from the manual transmission.
4. Remove the locking shaft pin and disconnect the gearshift drive rod from the rear mounting bracket of the manual transmission.
5. Remove the shift linkage assembly.
Installation
Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly.
Adjust the shift linkage. See "Adjusting the lever mechanism" in this section.
