1. Install the seal.
  • Lubricate the inner surface of the oil pump housing with automatic transmission fluid.

2. Install the oil pump internal and external gears.
  • Lubricate the surface of the oil pump housing with automatic transmission fluid.
  • Install the drive and driven gears into the oil pump housing.

3. Install the oil pump plate.
  • Lubricate the new sealing ring with automatic transmission fluid and install it into the oil pump housing.
  • Align the hole in the oil pump plate with the dowel pin on the oil pump body.

4. Install the oil pump cover.


  • Align the oil pump cover with each bolt hole on the oil pump housing and temporarily tighten the 14 Torx bolts.

5. Check the rotation of the oil pump drive gear.
