Frame and rear axle brake hose removal and installation


Removal



Note: Removal and installation procedures are shown using GMT900 models as an example.


Series 1500



1. Raise the vehicle and place safety stands under the frame.

2. Clean the connection points of the brake hoses to the frame brake pipes.

3. Loosen the nut securing the brake hose to the brake pipe (1). Tightening torque 25 Nm.

Note: When removing and installing the hose, hold the brake pipe with a second wrench.


4. Loosen the bolt (2) securing the brake hose bracket to the frame. Tightening torque 25 Nm.

5. Remove the bracket and hoses from the frame.

6. Clean the connection points of the brake hoses to the brake pipes of the axle beam.

7. Unscrew the nut securing the brake hose to the brake pipe (4). Tightening torque 25 Nm.

Note: When removing and installing the hose, hold the brake pipe with a second wrench.


8. Loosen the bolt (5) securing the brake hose bracket to the axle beam. Tightening torque 25 Nm.

9. Remove the brake hose.

10. Installation is carried out in reverse order. After installation, bleed the brake system.



Series 2500



1. Raise the vehicle and place safety stands under the frame.

2. Clean the connection point of the brake hose to the brake pipe.

2. Clean the connection point of the brake hose to the brake pipe.


3. Loosen the nut (1) securing the brake pipe (3) to the brake hose (2). Tightening torque 25 Nm.

Note: When removing and installing the hose, hold the brake pipe with a second wrench.


4. Plug open holes.

5. Unscrew the bolts (1) securing the bracket (2) to the frame.

5. Unscrew the bolts (1) securing the bracket (2) to the frame.


6. Unscrew the nuts (1) securing the brake pipes to the brake hose (2). Tightening torque 25 Nm.

6. Unscrew the nuts (1) securing the brake pipes to the brake hose (2). Tightening torque 25 Nm.


7. Loosen the bolt (3) securing the brake hose to the bracket (4). Tightening torque 25 Nm.



8. Remove the brake hose.

Installation



9. Installation is carried out in reverse order. After installation, bleed the brake system.
