Note: The inner surface of the crankcase extension must be dry. If there is working fluid in the extension, replace the output shaft seal.
1. Jack up the vehicle and place safety stands under the frame.
2. Remove the driveshaft.
3. Jack up the gearbox.
4. Remove the gearbox housing support.
5. Loosen the six mounting bolts (1) and remove the crankcase extension (2). Tightening torque 50 Nm.
6. Remove the output shaft seal.
7. Lubricate the working edge of the new oil seal with automatic transmission fluid and press it in as shown in the figure.
8. Install the remaining parts in the reverse order of removal.
