Adjustment
1. Make sure that the automatic transmission selector on the steering column is in the "P" position.
2. Jack up the car and place safety stands under the frame.
3. Make sure the starter inhibit switch lever is set to the park position.
4. Take the cable adjustment end (1) in your left hand and the cable end (2) in your right hand.

5. Insert the end (3) of the cable into the end of the regulator (1) and press it until the blue spring (2) is fully compressed, this will connect both wires of the cable.

Caution: When compressing the spring (2), do not hold the adjuster tip (1), this will result in incorrect cable adjustment.
6. Release the end (3) and allow the spring (2) to adjust the position of the cable.
7. Pull the white cover (5) onto the regulator tip (1).
8. Press the unpainted locking button (4) to lock the cable end (3).

9. Release the white cover (1).
10. Make sure that the white cover (1) covers the unpainted release button (2).

11. If the cover (1) does not cover the button (2), adjust the cable.
12. Lower the vehicle.
13. Check that the automatic transmission modes are switched correctly.
14. If the mode switching is incorrect, adjust the cable.
Adjusting the cable
1. Move the automatic transmission selector on the steering column to position "P".
2. Jack up the car.
3. Make sure the starter inhibit switch lever is set to the park position.
4. Pull the white cover (1) back until the unpainted button (2) is exposed.

Insert a flat-head screwdriver under the button (2) onto the lock ramp, located at the top of the lock. The lock will open and the cable will move slightly away from the tip.
5. Next, perform the cable adjustment operations from point 5 of the adjustment.
