Automatic transmission control cable — adjustment (Chevrolet Tahoe 2)

Adjustment



1. Make sure that the automatic transmission selector on the steering column is in the "P" position.

2. Jack up the car and place safety stands under the frame.

3. Make sure the starter inhibit switch lever is set to the park position.

4. Take the cable adjustment end (1) in your left hand and the cable end (2) in your right hand.

13. Check that the automatic transmission modes are switched correctly.

4. Pull the white cover (1) back until the unpainted button (2) is exposed.

Insert a flat-head screwdriver under the button (2) onto the lock ramp, located at the top of the lock. The lock will open and the cable will move slightly away from the tip.
