Withdrawal
1. Raise the car.
2. Remove the gearbox assembly.
3. Remove the gearbox drive gear.
4. Press the pinion bearing race.
5. Remove the shim.
6. Knock out the outer ring of the outer and inner bearing of the drive gear from the gearbox housing. The drift is installed alternately in the technological slots.
External bearing | inner bearing |
Installation
1. Using drifts, install the drive gear outer and inner bearing races into the gearbox housing.
2. Determine the thickness of the drive gear shim.
3. Install the shim on the pinion gear under the inner bearing race.
4. Press on the inner bearing race.
5. Install a new deformable spacer.
6. Lubricate bearings with gear oil.
7. Install the outer bearing race into the crankcase.
8. Using a drift, install a new pinion oil seal.
9. Install the pinion gear in the gearbox housing.
10. Lubricate the drive gear splines with grease.
11. Install the universal joint yoke according to the relative position marks made during removal.
12. Use a soft-faced hammer to seat the yoke on the pinion shaft until several threads of the pinion shaft threads come out.
13. Install the washer and screw on the new fork nut.
14. Attach the fork locking key to the fork.
15. Tighten the fork fastening nut so. so that the axial clearance of the gear shaft is almost selected. At the same time, rotate the pinion shaft to ensure the correct seating of the bearings.
16. Measure the torque of the drive gear shaft.
Turning moment:
- new bearings 1.7-3.4 Nm.
- old bearings 1.0-2.3 Nm.
17. If the turning torque is less than the specified minimum value, continue to tighten the nut in small portions.
Caution: If the torque of the drive gear is exceeded, the drive gear will have to be removed and the deformable spacer replaced.
18. Once the required bearing preload has been achieved, turn the drive gear several times to seat the bearings. Recheck the torque of the drive gear.
19. Install the reducer.
20. Fill the gearbox with gear oil.
21. Lower the car.
