Removal
1. Raise the vehicle.
2. Remove the gearbox.
3. Remove the universal joint fork and the pinion seal.
4. Screw the drift onto the drive gear as shown in the figure.

5. Knock out the drive gear from the gearbox housing. Do not allow the gear to fall.
6. Remove and discard the deformable bushing.
7. Remove the gear bearings.

8. Unscrew the bolts securing the driven gear of the gearbox. Discard the bolts.

Note: The drive gear mounting bolts have left-hand threads.
9. Remove the driven gear from the differential cup. Use a drift if necessary.

Installation
Caution: The mating surfaces of the driven gear and the differential cup must be clean and free of burrs and burrs.
1. Install the driven gear of the reduction gear onto the differential cup.
2. Install NEW pinion mounting bolts. Tighten the mounting bolts evenly by hand, check the alignment of the pinion.
3. Tighten the driven gear bolts finally, gradually pressing the gear onto the differential cup. Tightening torque: 8.6" gearbox 120 Nm; gearbox 9.5" 140 Nm.
4. Install the outer races of the pinion bearing.
5. Determine the thickness of the gear adjusting shim.
6. Install the selected adjusting shim onto the pinion gear.
7. Install the inner bearing onto the drive gear.
8. Install the NEW deformable spacer.
9. Lubricate the pinion bearing with transmission oil.
10. Install the outer bearing of the drive gear into the gearbox housing.
11. Install the new pinion oil seal.
12. Install the pinion gear into the differential housing.
13. Install the cardan joint fork.
14. Install the gearbox assembly.
15. Fill the gearbox with transmission oil.
16. Lower the vehicle.
