Description of the vehicle transmission (Chevrolet Aveo T200)

The transmission consists of a gearbox (hereinafter referred to as checkpoint) and drive shafts. The drive is to the front wheels. Cars produced in Ukraine are mainly equipped with a manual transmission of the D16 type, which is used together with a 1.5 l SOHC engine.

Automatic transmission is used less frequently.

This manual describes the manual gearbox in more detail. This is dictated by the fact that the automatic transmission is a complex unit, which cannot be repaired independently, since this requires specific diagnostic equipment and a specific set of tools. Therefore, the authors recommend repairing the automatic transmission in specialized workshops.
