Adjusting the gear shift mechanism (Chevrolet Aveo T200)

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Set the gear shift lever to neutral position.

3. Loosen the rod clamp bolt.

4. Remove the adjusting hollow insert from the shift lever cover.

5. Rotate the stem and fully insert the 5mm calibrated pin into the adjustment hole.

6. Remove the gear shift boot.

7. Pull the cover up to access the mechanism.

8. Move the shift lever to the left of the neutral position.

9. Insert a 5mm pin into the holes to ensure that the shift lever is aligned with the shift lever housing.

10. Tighten the piston rod clamp bolt to 14 Nm.

11. Remove the locking pin from the adjustment hole.

12. Tighten the plug.

13. Remove the locking pin from the shift lever.

14. Install the cover on the console.
