Removal
1. Install the engine support device.
2. Remove the battery and battery tray.
3. Remove the gearbox control lever mechanism.
4. Remove the drive shaft.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the reverse light switch.
6. Disconnect the speedometer speed sensor electrical connector.
7. Remove the clutch slave cylinder.
8. Remove the coupling nut and bolt of the damper block.
9. Remove the rear mounting bracket from the transmission.
10. Remove the rear damper block of the front cross member.
11. Remove the two bolts securing the rear gearbox support.
12. Remove the three upper transmission mounting bracket bolts.
13. Remove the upper mounting bracket and drive shaft intermediate support.
14. Remove the three upper gearbox mounting bolts while supporting the gearbox with a jack.
15. Remove the seven lower gearbox mounting bolts.
16. Remove the gearbox.
Note: Place the gearbox in a vertical position only.
17. Move the gearbox away from the engine block.
18. Lower the gearbox.
Installation
Caution: Support the transmission with a jack.
1. Install the gearbox by inserting the gearbox input shaft into the splined hole of the clutch driven disk and moving the gearbox towards the engine.
2. Install the seven lower transmission mounting screws and tighten them.
Tightening
- Tighten the lower gearbox mounting bolts to 73 Nm.
- Tighten the lower gearbox mounting bolt b to 31 Nm.
- Tighten the lower gearbox mounting bolts to 21 Nm.
3. Install the three gearbox mounting screws and tighten them to 73 Nm.
4. Install the intermediate gearbox support and tighten the mounting screws.
5. Install the gearbox mounting bracket and tighten the mounting bolts to 60 Nm.
5. Tighten the rear damper block mounting bolts to 55 Nm.
6. Install the rear damper block on the front crossmember and tighten the mounting bolts to 80 Nm.
7. Tighten the coupling nut and damper block bolt to 80 Nm.
8. Install the clutch slave cylinder and tighten the mounting bolts to 20 Nm.
9. Connect the speedometer speed sensor electrical connector.
10. Connect the electrical connector of the reverse light switch.
11. Remove the engine support fixture.
12. Install the drive shaft.
13. Install the gearbox control lever mechanism.
14. Install the battery tray and battery.
15. Check the oil level in the gearbox.
