Elements of fifth gear

Disassembly
1. Remove the driven shaft bearing using a universal puller.

2. Remove the retaining ring (30), thrust disc (29), needle thrust bearing (28).


3. Remove the first gear driven gear (26), the first gear driven gear needle bearing (27).

4. Remove the three synchronizer locking rings (18), (19) and (20) of 1st gear.

5. Remove the 1st and 2nd gear engagement clutch.

6. Remove the locking crackers from the hub of the 1st and 2nd gear engagement clutch.
7. Remove the cracker spring spacer (23) from the 1st gear side.
8. Remove the retaining ring (25) and washer (24).
9. Remove the 1st and 2nd gear clutch hub using a universal puller.

10. Remove the three synchronizer locking rings (20), (19) and (18) of 2nd gear.
11. Remove the 2nd gear driven gear (16).
12. Remove the 2nd gear needle bearing (17).
13. Remove the retaining ring (15) and thrust washer (14).

14. Remove the 3rd gear driven gear (13) and the 3rd gear synchronizer locking ring (7).

15. Remove the needle bearing (6) of the 3rd gear driven gear.

16. Remove the 3rd and 4th gear engagement clutch.

17. Remove the spring spacer (10) of the locking crackers from the 3rd gear side.
18. Remove the locking crackers (9) from the 3rd and 4th gear engagement clutch.
19. Remove the retaining ring (12) and the composite washer (11).

20. Remove the hub of the 3rd and 4th gear engagement clutch using a puller and remove the spring spacer of the crackers (10) from the hub.


21. Remove the 4th gear driven gear (5).

22. Remove the 4th gear needle bearing, retaining ring (4) and thrust washer (3).

23. Remove the output shaft bearing (1).

Assembly
Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly.
Note: When installing the gear engagement clutches, pay attention to the clutch position. This is especially true for the 1st and 2nd gear engagement clutch, as this clutch is also the driven gear of the reverse gear.
