Contact your GM dealer or a professional towing service for assistance. They will provide the correct equipment and instructions for towing. Before doing anything, turn on your hazard warning lights.
Front towing

If your vehicle has a four-wheel drive with a manual transfer case, the following instructions will apply:
- 1. Turn the ignition key to the OFF (C) position
- 2. Engage the parking brake
- 3. Fix the steering wheel straight. (Do not use the steering wheel lock)
- 4. Place the gearbox in PARK (P)
- 5. Set the transfer case to NEUTRAL(N)
- 6. Once the vehicle is on the hook, release the parking brake
- 7. Maximum towing speed 55 mph (88 km/h). Distance is unlimited.
Towing from behind

If your vehicle has rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive with electronic control, the instructions will be as follows:
- 1. Turn the ignition key to the OFF (C) position
- 2. Engage the parking brake
- 3. Fix the steering wheel straight (do not use the steering wheel lock)
- 4. Set the gearbox to NEUTRAL (N)
- 5. Install the transfer case in ZNIGH (ZNI)
- 6. Once the vehicle is on the hook, release the parking brake
- 7. Maximum speed 35 mph (55 km/h). Distance 50 miles (80 km).
