Power steering pump. 1 - power steering pump reservoir, 2 - reservoir cover, 3 - reservoir mounting stud, 4 - reservoir mounting stud, 5 - pump tube plug, 6 - sealing washer, 7 - fluid flow regulator valve, 8 - flow regulator valve spring, 9 - pump body seal, 10 - pump body sealing rings, 11 - pump reservoir sealing ring, 12 - power steering pump, 13 - pump shaft seal, 14 - pump reservoir magnet.


Removal



1. Remove the power steering pump pulley.

2. Raise the vehicle and place safety stands under the frame.

3. Unscrew the engine oil pan protection bolts (if protection is installed). Tightening torque 20 Nm.

4. Remove the oil pan guard.

5. Place a container under the engine to collect the oil.



6. Disconnect the pressure hose (2) from the pump under the vehicle. Tightening torque 28 Nm.

7. Lower the vehicle.

8. Remove the clamps (3) and (5) securing the pressure and return hoses to the pump, disconnect the hoses from the pump.

9. Disconnect the lower intermediate shaft from the steering gear.

10. Loosen the bolt securing the rear pump bracket to the engine. Tightening torque 50 Nm.

11. Loosen the bolts securing the front part of the pump. Tightening torque 50 Nm.



12. Remove the pump from the vehicle.

13. Unscrew the nuts (4) and remove the rear bracket (3) from the pump (1).
