Series 2500, left side
1. Raise the vehicle and place safety posts under the frame.
2. Loosen the two rear engine guard mounting bolts and unscrew the two front guard mounting bolts, remove the guard.
Tightening torque 28 Nm.
3. Remove the muffler.
4. Disconnect the connectors of the oxygen sensors on the left side of the exhaust system, see items 8-11 of the section "Removal and installation catalytic converter insulators".
5. Unscrew the nuts (2) securing the catalytic converter to the exhaust manifold. Tightening torque 50 Nm.
6. Separate the catalytic converter from the exhaust manifold.
7. Slide the catalytic converter (1) out of the suspension bracket loop.
8. When replacing the catalytic converter, perform the following operations, otherwise proceed with installation.
9. Remove the insulator (3).
10. Remove the oxygen sensors (1) and (4).
Tightening torque 42 Nm.
11. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
Attention: before installation, thoroughly clean the threads of the sensors and their seats, then apply a special anti-stick compound to the threads of the oxygen sensors.
Series 2500, right side
1. Perform operations pp. 1-7 of the section "Removal and installation the catalytic converter insulator".
2. Remove the muffler.
3. Remove the automatic transmission support crossmember.
4. Unscrew the nuts (2) securing the catalytic converter to the exhaust manifold.
Tightening torque 50 Nm.
5. Separate the catalytic converter from the exhaust manifold.
6. Remove the hook (3) of the catalytic converter suspension from the bracket.
7. When replacing the catalytic converter, perform the following operations, otherwise proceed with installation.
8. Remove the insulator (1).
9. Remove the oxygen sensors (2) and (3). Tightening torque 42 Nm.

11. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
