Removal and installation the oil pump (Chevrolet Aveo T200)

Removal



1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the timing belt.

3. Remove the rear part of the timing belt cover.

4. Disconnect the oil pressure sensor connector.

6. Remove the crankshaft position sensor.

7. Remove the oil pan.

8. Remove the oil receiver and bracket mounting screws.

8. Remove the oil receiver and bracket mounting screws.


9. Remove the oil pump mounting screws.

10. Carefully remove the oil pump and gasket.

11. Clean the oil pump and engine block surfaces where the gasket will be installed.

12. Remove the safety valve screw.

13. Remove the safety valve and spring.

14. Remove the rear timing belt cover screws.

15. Remove the rear part of the timing belt cover.

16. Clean the oil pump housing and all its parts.



Installation



1. Inspect all parts for wear.

2. Apply clean engine oil to all oil pump parts.

3. Install all parts in place.

Note: Fill all cavities of the oil pump with Vaseline to ensure pumping. Otherwise, engine damage may occur.

4. Install the oil pump rear cover and tighten the screws to 6Nm.

5. Install the relief valve, spring, washer and screw.

6. Tighten the safety valve screw to a torque of 30 Nm.

7. Apply a bead of room temperature curing (P.TV) sealant to the oil pump gasket.

8. Install a new gasket on the oil pump.

9. Apply thread locking compound to the threaded parts of the oil pump.

10. Install the oil pump on the block and tighten the mounting screws to a torque of 10 Nm.

11. Install a new oil pump seal.



12. Coat the edge of the gasket with a thin layer of grease.

13. Apply thread locking compound to the threads of the oil pan screws and the support bracket screws.

14. Install the oil receiver and tighten the oil receiver screws to a torque of 10 Nm.

15. Install the oil pan.

16. Install the crankshaft position sensor and tighten the sensor screw to a torque of 10 Nm.

17. Connect the oil pressure sensor connector.

18. Install the rear part of the timing belt cover.

19. Install the timing belt.

20. Connect the negative battery cable.
