Removal and installation the engine oil pan (Chevrolet Aveo T200)

Removal



1. Drain the engine oil from the engine.

2. Disconnect the rear oxygen sensor (HO2S).

3. Disconnect the catalytic converter mounting flanges from the exhaust manifold and muffler inlet pipe.

4. Remove the oil pan mounting screws.

5. Remove the oil pan.

Cleaning



1. Clean the surface of the oil pan that contacts the gasket.

2. Clean the surface of the engine block that contacts the gasket.

3. Clean the oil pan mounting bolts.

4. Clean the threaded holes of the oil pan mounting in the cylinder block.

4. Clean the threaded holes of the oil pan mounting in the cylinder block.


Installation



1. Install the oil pan gasket.

2. Install the oil pan onto the engine block.

Note: Install the oil pan after 5 minutes of applying the sealant gasket to the oil pan.



3. Tighten the oil pan mounting bolts to 10 Nm.

4. Connect the catalytic converter flanges to the flanges of the exhaust manifold and muffler inlet pipe.

5. Tighten the nuts securing the catalytic converter to the exhaust manifold and the bracket mounting bolts to a torque of 40 Nm.

6. Tighten the nuts of the exhaust pipe and connecting pipe to a torque of 30 Nm.

7. Connect the rear oxygen sensor connector.

8. Connect the negative battery cable.

9. Install the oil pan drain plug.

10. Tighten the oil pan drain plug to 35 Nm.

11. Fill the oil pan with engine oil.
