Attention:
- when washing the cylinder head in the oven, do not allow the temperature to rise above 200°C.
- when cleaning, do not scratch the walls of the combustion chamber.
1. Clean the following surfaces:
- use a wire brush to remove carbon deposits from the combustion chamber walls.

- surfaces for installing gaskets.
- valve stems and plates.
- threads of the holes for installing the bolts. You can use a tap of the appropriate size.
2. Inspect the cylinder head, look for:
- cracks in the exhaust channels and inter-valve bridges.
- cracks in the cooling jacket partitions.
- deep scratches and other damage to surfaces where gaskets are installed.
- signs of damage to threaded holes.
3. Check the cylinder head mating surface for warpage, see specification.

4. Using an elastomer, check the stiffness of the valve springs.
