Attention: all work on the removal and installation of components, assemblies and parts of the car is recommended to be carried out with the battery disconnected. In the case of welding work, it is also necessary to disconnect the connector of the electronic engine control unit.
Attention: work related to the removal and installation of passive safety elements (airbags and seat belt pretensioners), must be carried out only after reading the operating instructions and with the obligatory removal of the corresponding fuse and disconnection of the corresponding connectors.
Warning: For about one minute after turning off the ignition (OFF) and removal of the fuse display and diagnostic unit (VIEW) can maintain residual voltage, which can cause the airbags to deploy and activate the seat belt pretensioners. If the airbags and pretensioners are not disconnected, maintenance must be started no earlier than one minute after the VID has been disconnected from power. Otherwise, you may be injured. When working on the airbag module, always leave enough space for the module to expand in case it deploys. If there is no room for expansion, the module will move violently towards a person or object and may cause injury or damage to the vehicle.
Failure to disconnect airbags during maintenance may result in unintentional airbag deployment, injury, or airbag repair.
Warning: During maintenance, be careful when handling the VID. Do not hit or shake the VIEW. Do not apply power if the unit is not secured to the vehicle. All bolts must be carefully tightened to the specified torques and the arrow on the block must point forward to ensure proper operation of the safety system. A poorly connected and powered VIEW may move, causing the airbag to deploy unexpectedly, which could result in injury.
