The heating system heater provides an increase in air temperature in any operating mode, depending on the position of the temperature regulator handle. The amount of air entering the passenger compartment depends on the mode of operation of the fan.
Air conditioner switch
The button is used to turn the air conditioner on and off.
Switching on the air conditioning system
Start the engine, set the desired fan operation mode using the switch and press the button (A/C) air conditioner switch. When the air conditioner is turned on, the indicator built into the button lights up. The indicator stays on until the air conditioner is turned off. To turn off the air conditioner, press the same button again. Please note that the air conditioner compressor does not operate when the blower mode switch is in the «OFF» (turned off). Press the button again to turn off the system (A/C), and the power indicator will turn off.
Caution: Operating the air conditioning system while climbing long hills or in heavy city traffic can cause the engine to overheat. Monitor engine temperature. If the coolant temperature is too high, turn off the air conditioning system.
Air conditioner operating modes
Cooling
Maximum air cooling mode
To achieve maximum cooling in hot weather or after a long period of parking in the sun, proceed as follows:
- open windows for a short time to quickly ventilate the car interior from heated air;
- turn on the air conditioner (A/C) (the power indicator will light up);
- press the button for turning on the air recirculation mode (the power indicator will light up);
- set the air distribution mode control to the ventilation position of the upper zone;
- set the air temperature controller to the extreme position (blue zone);
- set the fan mode switch to the maximum speed position.
Normal air cooling mode
Normal air cooling mode is recommended for city driving and country trips.
- turn on the air conditioner (A/C) (the power indicator will light up);
- press the button for turning on the air recirculation mode (the power indicator will light up);
- set the air distribution mode control to the ventilation of the upper zone or ventilation in two levels;
- set the air temperature controller to the extreme position (blue zone);
- set the fan mode switch to the desired speed.
Heating
Maximum heating mode
Used to quickly warm up the car interior. After reaching a comfortable temperature in the cabin, immediately turn on the normal heating mode:
- turn off the air conditioner (A/C) (the indicator will turn off); press the button for turning on the air recirculation mode (the power indicator will light up);
- set the air distribution mode control to the ventilation of the lower zone or ventilation in two levels;
- set the air temperature controller to the extreme position for heating (red zone);
- set the fan mode switch to the maximum speed position.
Attention: do not use this mode for a long time, as in this case the air in the cabin becomes humid and stale. Possible fogging of glasses. If moisture has condensed on the windows, turn on the air recirculation mode.
Normal heating mode
- turn off the air conditioner (A/C) (the indicator will turn off);
- turn off the air recirculation mode (the indicator will turn off);
- set the air distribution mode control to the ventilation of the lower zone or ventilation in two levels;
- set the air temperature controller to the extreme position for heating (red zone);
- set the fan mode switch to the desired speed.
Ventilation
Two-level ventilation
It is recommended to use in the off-season when the ambient temperatures are low and there is not enough sunlight. If the air temperature control is turned to an intermediate position, then warm, heated air will flow into the footwell area of the driver and front passenger, and cooler air will flow into the upper area of \u200b\u200bthe cabin (or air with outside temperature). To set this mode:
- turn off the air recirculation mode (the power indicator will turn off);
- set the air distribution mode control to the ventilation of the lower zone or ventilation in two levels;
- set the air temperature controller to the desired position for heating (red zone);
- set the fan mode switch to the desired speed.
Ventilation
- turn off the air conditioner (A/C) (the indicator will turn off);
- turn off the air recirculation mode (the indicator will turn off);
- set the air distribution mode control to the ventilation of the lower zone or ventilation in two levels;
- install an air temperature controller for cooling (blue zone);
- set the fan mode switch to the desired speed.
Glass blowing and defogging
It is possible to use the glass heating mode with the air conditioning system on or off. To blow the windshield you need:
- set the recirculation mode to the inflow of outside air;
- set the air distribution mode regulator to the glass blowing position;
- set the air temperature controller to the red zone;
- set the fan mode switch to the maximum speed position (for fast blowing or defrosting).
Air Conditioner Usage Tips
If the car has been parked in direct sunlight, open the windows and ventilate the interior before turning on the air conditioner.
In order to clear the fogged-up windows of condensate in rainy weather, lower the air temperature in the cabin by turning on the air conditioner. This technique is useful in the rainy season when the humidity is very high.
When driving in a city with heavy traffic, the efficiency of the air conditioning system may be reduced due to frequent stops and low vehicle speeds.
If the air conditioner is not used for a long time (a month or more), it is necessary to turn it on prophylactically for a few minutes once a week, even in winter. Turn on the air conditioner when the engine is idling. Periodic activation of the air conditioner helps to maintain a layer of lubricant on the parts and seals of the compressor, which prolongs the life of the air conditioning system.
Attention: the air conditioning compressor will not turn on if the blower mode switch is in the «OFF».
