The transmission control unit (TCU) primarily controls shift points and lock-up activation. It is located on the driver's side under the instrument panel.
The transmission is controlled by an electronic shift system. The BUT processes the input signals. Based on the information received, the BUT controls the hydraulic control system.
The electronic shift system consists of the following components:
- transmission control unit (TCU),
- switching solenoids (SP1 and SP2),
- pressure control solenoid (PCS),
- locking solenoid,
- input shaft speed sensor (ISS),
- output shaft speed sensor (SvyhV),
- transmission fluid temperature sensor (TFTS),
- park/Neutral Position Switch (PNP).
