Installing an oil pump (Chevrolet Aveo T250)

            0

1. Inspect all parts for wear.

2. Apply clean engine oil to all oil pump parts.

3. Install all parts in place.

Fill all cavities of the oil pump with Vaseline to ensure pumping. Otherwise, engine damage may occur.

4. Install the oil pump rear cover and tighten the screws to 6 Nm.

5. Install the relief valve, spring, washer and bolt.

6. Tighten the safety valve bolt to 30 Nm.

7. Apply a bead of room temperature curing (RTV) sealant to the oil pump gasket.

8. Install a new gasket on the oil pump.

9. Apply thread locking compound to the threaded parts of the oil pump.

10. Install the oil pump on the block and tighten the mounting screws to a torque of 10 Nm.

11. Install a new oil pump seal.

12. Coat the edge of the gasket with a thin layer of grease.



13. Apply thread locking compound to the threads of the oil pan screws and the support bracket screws.

14. Install the oil receiver and tighten the oil receiver screws to a torque of 10 Nm.

15. Install the oil pan.

16. Install the crankshaft position sensor and tighten the sensor screw to a torque of 10 Nm.

17. Connect the oil pressure sensor connector.

18. Install the rear part of the timing belt cover.

19. Install the timing belt.

20. Connect the negative battery cable.
