1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Remove the steering column cover (see "Removal and installation the steering column cover").

3. Insert the key into the ignition switch and turn it to position III (starter).

4. Keeping the key turned, insert the rod (for example, a drill) into the technological hole on the lock body and press down the spring-loaded lock.

5. Remove the ignition lock cylinder from the lock housing.

6. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the immobilizer control unit.

7. Use a screwdriver to pry up the plastic clips...

8. ...and remove the immobilizer antenna ring from the ignition switch.

9. Remove the two mounting screws...

10. ...and remove the immobilizer control unit from the steering column.

11. Install the unit in the reverse order of removal.
