The oil level indicator tubular guide is sealed in the cylinder block with a rubber ring. If oil leaks at the sealing point, replace this ring.
1. Remove the oil level indicator from the guide.
2. Remove the bolt securing the oil level indicator guide bracket to the cylinder head.
3. Remove the guide from the hole in the cylinder block.
4. Remove the sealing ring from the guide by prying it off with a screwdriver.
5. Lubricate the new ring with engine oil before installation.
6. Install the sealing ring onto the oil level indicator guide and the guide into the cylinder block in the reverse order of removal.
