Attention: all work on removing and installing units, assemblies and parts of the vehicle is recommended to be carried out with the battery disconnected. Work related to the removal and installation of passive safety elements (airbags and seat belt pretensioners), should be carried out only after reading the operating instructions and with the obligatory removal of the corresponding fuse and disconnection of the corresponding connectors.
The system consists of the following elements:
- Seat belts on the front seats (driver and passenger)
- Front seat belt pretensioners (optional)
- Rear seat belts
- Child seat anchors (in the back seat of a car)
- Seat belt warning signal
Operating principle
The two front seats, two rear side seats and the middle rear seat are equipped with inertia seat belts. Each belt is equipped with an inertia reel and is secured at three attachment points to securely hold the driver and passengers while the vehicle is moving. The belt is wound on the drum of the inertia reel, which allows you to adjust the length of the belt and does not restrict movement during normal vehicle movement. However, with sharp changes in vehicle acceleration (acceleration or deceleration or head-on collision) the reel is automatically locked and the belt prevents the person's body from moving dangerously.
The driver's seat belt is equipped with a warning sound that comes on and sounds for 6 seconds when the ignition is turned on if the seat belt is not fastened.
Front seat belts can be equipped with (as an option) pretensioners (see below in the section "Airbags").
