1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Set the steering wheel to a position corresponding to the straight-ahead movement of the vehicle.

3. Remove the airbag module (see "Removal and installation the driver's airbag").

4. Remove the steering wheel mounting bolt while holding the wheel from turning.
WARNING: To avoid injury from sudden release of the wheel from the steering shaft, do not completely remove the steering wheel mounting bolt. Remove the bolt completely after the wheel has been driven.

5. Using a sharp blow of your hands along the axis of the steering shaft, knock the steering wheel off the splined end of the shaft.

6. Completely unscrew the mounting bolt.

NOTE: Please note: there are marks on the end of the steering shaft and on the steering wheel hub for correct reinstallation of the steering wheel. If the marks are not clearly visible, duplicate them additionally, for example, with a marker.

7. Press the wire harness connector lock...

8. ...and disconnect the connector from the airbag and horn contact ring.

9. Remove the steering wheel hub from the shaft splines, pull the wire with the airbag connector out through the hole in the hub and remove the steering wheel.

CAUTION: To prevent damage to the airbag contact ring conductor, secure the contact ring from turning, for example by gluing a piece of masking tape to it and to the steering column cover.
10. Install the steering wheel in the reverse order of removal. Apply anaerobic thread locker to the threaded portion of the steering wheel mounting bolt.
WARNING: When installing the steering wheel, the mounting bolt must be replaced.
11. Tighten the mounting bolt to a torque of 30 Nm.
