Precautions when working with oils
1. Long-term and repeated contact with mineral oil will strip the natural oils from human skin, causing dryness, irritation and dermatitis. In addition, the motor oils used contain potentially dangerous components that can cause skin cancer.
2. After working with oil, wash your hands thoroughly with soap or other cleaning agent. After cleaning the skin, apply a special cream to restore the natural fat layer of the skin.
3. Do not use gasoline, kerosene, diesel fuel or solvent to remove oils from leather.
Safety precautions when working with electrical equipment
1. Do not disconnect the battery while the engine is running, as this may damage the electrical components of the vehicle.
2. Do not touch moving parts in the engine compartment (for example, an electric fan of the cooling system, a drive belt of ancillary equipment, etc.).
3. Before performing any work on the vehicle's electrical equipment, or when replacing any electrical component, disconnect the negative battery terminal to avoid possible damage caused by a short circuit.
Important: Before disconnecting or connecting the wire from the negative terminal of the battery, make sure that the light switches and ignition key are in the "OFF" position (if this is not done, there is a risk of damage to the semiconductor components).
Caution: All diagnostic codes stored in the electronic control unit are erased when the negative battery cable is disconnected. Therefore, it is necessary to read the diagnostic codes before disconnecting the battery.
4. When installing the battery, do not mix up the polarity of the wires connected to its terminals. Attention: after installing the battery, the power wire and the ground wire must be securely connected to its terminals (with pins).
5. When removing and installing parts, do not subject electronic control system components, especially the electronic control unit, to impact.
6. When working in rainy weather, protect electronic control units from water. The same should be done when cleaning the engine compartment (engine wash).
7. Work carefully with high-voltage wires.
8. After completing the repair work, make sure that all wiring connectors are correctly and securely connected and that the wiring harnesses are properly secured.
9. Safety rules when working with a battery.
a) The battery emits flammable and explosive gas:
- Use caution when using tools that may produce sparks from the battery.
- Do not smoke or light matches near the battery.
b) The electrolyte contains poisonous and corrosive sulfuric acid:
- Always wear safety glasses when working with batteries.
- Keep children away from the battery.
- Avoid contact of electrolyte with eyes, skin or clothing.
c) If electrolyte gets in, do the following:
- If electrolyte gets into your eyes, rinse them immediately with clean water and seek medical attention. If possible, continue to apply water with a swab or cloth while en route to a medical facility.
- If the electrolyte gets on your skin, wash the burnt area thoroughly. If you feel pain or a burn, consult a doctor immediately.
- If you accidentally swallow an electrolyte, you should immediately consult a doctor.
- If the electrolyte gets on your clothes, it may come into contact with your skin, so remove any clothes that come into contact with the electrolyte immediately.
Safety precautions when equipped with SRS (airbags)
Warning: Accidental deployment of the airbag or seat belt pretensioner can result in serious injury, so be sure to read and follow all safety precautions in this section.
1. Do not use any electrical testing devices when servicing directly or in the area where the SRS system components are located, except those recommended by the manufacturer. Caution: When checking the electrical circuits of the SRS system, use a special wiring harness and a digital multimeter with a maximum permissible test current of no more than 2 mA at minimum circuit resistance.
2. When connecting or disconnecting the tester, make sure the ignition switch key is in the "OFF" position.
3. After disconnecting the negative battery cable, wait at least 60 seconds before performing any further work. The SRS is designed to have sufficient voltage to deploy the air bag for a short period of time after the battery is disconnected. Therefore, if work is performed on the SRS immediately after the battery is disconnected, unintentional deployment of the air bag may result in serious injury.
4. When performing any maintenance or repair work, pay attention to the SRS warning labels located in the following locations: hood, sun visor, glove box, SRS control unit, steering wheel, air bag module, coil wire, steering gear assembly with rods (between the mounting brackets) etc.
5. Never attempt to repair SRS components. If a fault is detected, the entire assembly or wiring harness must be replaced.
6. When performing work in areas where SRS system components are installed (even if these works are not directly related to the SRS airbag) the following requirements must be met:
a) When removing or installing parts, do not subject the SRS system components to any impact or shock.
Caution: SRS components cannot withstand temperatures above 93°C, so the SRS control module, side impact sensors, air bag modules and coil wire must be removed before baking the vehicle after painting.
Caution: Store SRS components removed from the vehicle in a clean, dry place. The air bag module should be stored on a flat surface with the pad facing up (soft side) upwards. It is prohibited to place foreign objects on these parts.
b) After installing the SRS components in place, check the operation of the SRS indicator (make sure the system is functioning properly).
Safety precautions when installing a mobile radio communication system
The electronic control unit is designed in such a way as to exclude the influence of external electromagnetic interference.
However, if the vehicle is equipped with a CB radio, etc. (even with an output power of only 10 W), then it can in some cases affect the operation of the electronic unit, especially when the antenna and connecting (feeder) cables are laid near the electronic control unit.
Therefore, it is necessary to adhere to the following precautions:
1. Install the antenna as far away from the electronic control unit as possible. The engine electronic control unit is located in the engine compartment, so the antenna should be installed at the rear of the car.
2. Route the antenna cable as far away from the ECU wiring as possible, at least 20 cm, and especially do not twist them together.
3. Check if the settings are correct (approvals) antenna cable and antenna.
4. Do not install a powerful radio station in your car.
5. Do not open the cover or housing of the electronic control unit unless absolutely necessary (some terminals may be damaged by static electricity).
Safety precautions when working with the air supply system

2. Disconnection, loosening of fasteners or cracking of air supply system components (between the throttle body and the cylinder head) will cause air to leak in, which will lead to engine malfunction.
Safety precautions when working with the fuel system
1. Before working on the fuel system, disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
Note: Be sure to read diagnostic codes before disconnecting the battery cables.
2. Do not smoke or use open flames when working on the fuel system.
3. Do not allow gasoline to come into contact with rubber or leather objects.
4. When disconnecting the high-pressure fuel line, a large amount of fuel may leak. Therefore, release the fuel pressure beforehand.
- a) Disconnect the fuel pump connector.
- b) Then start the engine and after the engine stalls, turn off the ignition.
- c) Place a container under the unit being removed. Slowly loosen the connection, then disconnect it and drain the remaining fuel into the container.
- d) Seal the connection with a rubber plug and reconnect the fuel pump connector.

5. When removing and installing the injector and fuel rail flange pipe, always replace the corresponding O-ring with a new one.
Note: To prevent engine oil from entering the fuel rail, it is recommended to apply gasoline or spindle oil to the O-ring when installing the above parts.
