Master brake cylinder (MBC) — removal and installation (Chevrolet Aveo T250)

1. Disconnect the connector of the brake fluid level sensor (TA).

1. Disconnect the connector of the brake fluid level sensor (TA).


2. Disconnect the hydraulic pipes from the master cylinder (if the vehicle is not equipped with ABS, disconnect the tubes from the metering valves). When installing, tighten the brake pipes to a torque of 16 Nm.

3. On vehicles equipped with a manual transmission, disconnect the clutch release drive hydraulic system feed hose.

4. Close the openings of all hydraulic pipes with plugs.

5. Unscrew the nuts securing the brake master cylinder to the vacuum booster. When installing, replace the nuts with new ones and tighten them to a torque of 18 Nm.

6. Remove the brake master cylinder assembly.



7. Drain the brake fluid from the expansion tank and master cylinder.

8. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Perform the operation of bleeding air from the hydraulic system.
