
1. Brake the vehicle with the parking brake and install the anti-rollback stops ("shoes") under the rear wheels.
2. Loosen the tightening of the nuts of the corresponding wheel.
WARNING: Loosen and tighten the wheel nuts only with the vehicle on the ground.

3. Open the hood and remove the air intake box grille (see "Removal and installation the air intake box grille").

4. Remove the upper strut support nut protective cover.

5. Using one wrench to hold the shock absorber rod from turning, use the second wrench to loosen the upper shock absorber strut mounting nut.
6. Raise and place the front of the car on chocks. Completely unscrew the nuts and remove the wheel.

7. Loosen the nut securing the upper hinge of the stabilizer strut to the shock absorber strut bracket...

8. ...and move the stand to the side.

9. Remove the brake hose holders and wheel speed sensor wires from the brackets on the shock absorber strut.

10. Loosen the nuts of the bolts securing the steering knuckle to the shock absorber strut...

11. ...and knock the bolts out of the holes.
CAUTION: After disconnecting the lower shock absorber mount from the steering knuckle, tie the steering knuckle to the body with wire to avoid damaging the drive shaft joints.

12. Holding the shock absorber strut, completely unscrew the nut of the upper strut mount and remove the thrust washer.

13. Remove the shock absorber strut assembly.

14. Install the rack in the reverse order of removal.
WARNINGS: Use only genuine knurled bolts to connect the strut to the steering knuckle. Tighten the upper strut mount nut with the vehicle on the ground.

15. After installing the shock absorber strut, check and, if necessary, adjust the wheel alignment angles, see. "Checking and adjusting wheel alignment angles"). To do this, use the services of workshops that have special equipment.
