1. Set the gear selector lever to position "P".
2. Move the selector lever slightly back and forth without moving it from the "P" position to other positions.
3. Make sure that lever 4 (see figure 6.5 a) the multifunction switch on the gearbox is in the "P" position, for which press the lever all the way back relative to the direction of travel of the vehicle.
HELPFUL TIP: To make sure the transmission is in "P" mode, try to move the car by pushing it with the parking brake released. When "P" mode is engaged, it is impossible to move the car.

4. Slide the gearbox control cable end retainer until the control cable is in the optimal position in the casing.
NOTE: For clarity, shown with the battery and battery mounting shelf removed.
5. Return the cable end lock to its original position. This will secure the cable end in its new position.
6. Check the clarity of the gearbox modes engagement in all positions of the gearbox control selector.
