Removal and installation the front suspension spring (Chevrolet Aveo T250)

Disassembly

1. Remove the shock absorber struts.

2. Compress the front spring using the front spring compressor.



3. Unscrew the nut securing the upper spring stop, holding the rod from rotating.



4. Remove the strut mount, strut bearing, upper spring seat, upper spring insulator, hollow buffer, coil spring and strut in sequence.

Caution: Mark the position of the front spring seat relative to the strut/knuckle mounting bracket. Install the front spring in the same position during assembly.

Assembly

1. Install the lower spring isolator and spring.

2. Compress the spring using a spring compressor.

3. Install the strut mount, strut bearing, upper spring seat, upper spring insulator, hollow buffer, coil spring and strut in sequence.

4. Use a double-ended wrench to support the rod while installing the rod nut with the front strut mounting wrench. Tighten the nut to 60 Nm.

Note: Install the spring in its original position in the seat. Check the condition of the spring coating.
