Removal the camshaft (Chevrolet Aveo T250)

            0

1. Remove the timing belt.

2. Disconnect the ventilation tube on the timing cover.

3. Remove the valve cover screws.

4. Remove the valve cover.

5. Remove the valve cover gasket.

6. Install the valve spring compressor.

7. Remove the roller pressure levers (rockers) using the valve spring compression device.

Caution: Use extreme caution to avoid scratching, gouging or otherwise damaging the camshaft. Such damage may impair the performance of the vehicle.


8. While holding the camshaft, loosen the camshaft toothed pulley screw.

9. Remove the camshaft timing pulley.

10. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

11. Remove the battery and its shelf.

12. Disconnect the ignition coil connector from the ignition system.



13. Disconnect the wires from the coil.

14. Remove the ignition coil mounting nuts.

15. Remove the ignition coil.

16. Remove the ignition coil mounting plate screws.

17. Remove the ignition coil mounting plate.

18. Remove the camshaft axial lock screws.

19. Remove the camshaft axial lock.

19. Remove the camshaft axial lock.


20. Remove the camshaft in the direction shown.

20. Remove the camshaft in the direction shown.
