Attention! 1. The cylinder of the dismountable design is installed only on models before 1992. Since 1993, non-dismountable master clutch cylinders have been installed on the cars in question. In case of failure or leakage, the master cylinder cannot be repaired. On models of 1993-1995, the entire clutch hydraulic drive unit is replaced - the master and slave cylinders together with the pipelines. Bleeding air from the clutch hydraulic drive on these models is performed only under factory conditions.
2. The repair kit of the master cylinder is suppressed by the manufacturer as spare parts only by order. Therefore, it is recommended to change the clutch master cylinder as an assembly, without disassembling.
1. Disconnect the battery from ground.
2. Remove the steering column covers and the lower left air conditioner pipe, unpin and disconnect the piston push rod of the cylinder at the top of the clutch pedal (see photo).

3. On 1987-1992 models, disconnect the tube from the master cylinder. On 1993-1995 models, remove the slave cylinder from the transmission housing. On 1996 and later models, use a special key to disconnect the tube from the slave cylinder through the opening in the housing, having disassembled the quick-release coupling.
4. On 1987-1992 models, remove the two nuts and master cylinder.
On 1993-1995 models, remove the two nuts and brackets that secure the tubes to the bulkhead. Remove the master cylinder along with the hose and tubes. On 1996 and later models, rotate the master cylinder 45° clockwise and remove it from the bulkhead along with the hose and tubes.
5. Secure the master cylinder to the engine compartment bulkhead.
6. On 1987-1992 models, connect the clutch lines to the master cylinder. If the master cylinder has a separate reservoir, connect the hose between the reservoir and the cylinder. On 1993-1995 models, install the clutch slave cylinder in place and connect the clutch lines to it. Secure the lines to the bracket. On 1996 and later models, connect the lines by pressing both lines together until they click into place.
7. Connect the master cylinder push rod to the clutch pedal.
8. On pre-1992 models, fill the master cylinder reservoir with brake fluid (DOT 3) and bleed the air from the hydraulic system (see below). On 1993-1995 models, bleeding of air from the clutch hydraulic drive is performed only in factory conditions; a new installed hydraulic drive unit does not require bleeding. On models from 1996, the hydraulic drive unit is also filled and bled in factory conditions. If the quick-release connection on the slave cylinder was not damaged during assembly, and air did not get into the system, then bleeding of air is not required, although bleeding of air is provided on these models if necessary.
