Adjusting the clearance of the gear engagement in the steering mechanism (Chevrolet Aveo T250)

1. Clean the adjusting plug (3) and lock nut (4) from dirt.

2. Apply marks to the adjusting plug (3) and to the steering gear housing. Apply a new mark to the housing, 5 mm from the old one in the direction of screwing the plug.

3. Tighten the adjusting plug (3) until the mark on it matches the new mark and secure it with the lock nut (4).

4. Turn the steering mechanism from one extreme position to the other and make sure that there is no jamming when the rack moves.
