2. Set the wheels to the straight-ahead position.
3. Remove the wheels.
4. Disconnect the power steering supply and return lines and plug them. When installing, tighten the pipe fittings to 22 Nm.

5. Unscrew the nuts securing the steering rod end pins to the steering knuckles. When installing, tighten the nut to 60 Nm.

6. Remove the tie rod end pins from the steering knuckles using a puller.

7. Disconnect the anti-roll bar. When installing, tighten the anti-roll bar mounting nuts to 45 Nm (see figure T250 6.020).

8. Disconnect the ball joint from the steering knuckle. When installing, tighten the nut securing the ball joint pin to the steering knuckle to a torque of 100 Nm (see figure T250 6.021).

9. Loosen the clamping screw of the steering column shaft split spline joint. When installing, tighten the bolt to a torque of 22 Nm.

10. Loosen the screws securing the lower engine mount to the cross member.

11. Place the jack under the beam.
12. Unscrew the nuts securing the subframe to the car body. When installing, tighten the nuts to 150 Nm.

13. Lower the jack and remove the subframe.

14. Unscrew the steering gear mounting bolt nuts. When installing, tighten the nuts to 50 Nm.
15. Remove the steering gear assembly.
16. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
17. After installation, fill the system with oil and bleed the hydraulic system.
